I read at teamfc3s.org that you can mate an automatic driveshaft to make the conversion work. They even had run times in the 14s...

V8slayer 07-28-06 08:56 PM

what do you mean? just use the auto driveshaft?? what are you talking about ???

ussprinceton2004 07-28-06 09:06 PM

yes, use an automatic driveshaft from an automatic FC3S. You can read this yourself at www.teamfc3s.org. Go to the non-turbo section and read the sticky on NA to Turbo conversion

The auto tranny drive shaft is about 1 inch too short. So only about half the spline fits into the tranny. If the spline is not fully seated it can shear or fall out with too much drive train movement.

So you can, use one, but it may fail and is far from acceptable

Also TII shaft will not fit rear yoke the shaft diamiter is larger and yokes and flange are larger then NA and AT. You need a TII drive line compleat to use the TII shaft. You shoulda searched befor buying.

The NA and AT yokes can be swaped.
