Cruise control? Searched.

Eh, I got my Tenth ann TII a while ago, and am just now getting around to working on restoring all the little luxuries. The cruise control hasn't worked since i got the car. The main swith works, "meaning the word "Main" lights up when the button is pressed" and the "Cruise" lights up when i press the actual set button, but doesn't actually hold the speed. It does nothing. I've replaced the actual switch, "I had another one lying around," but still no change. I'm assuming it might be a problem with a connection between the actual cruise control unit and the throttle? Any ideas? I searched, but got a bunch of irrelevant posts. Help is appreciated. Thanks.

Dealing with that right now in a different thread

Your symptoms sound exactly like mine.

Heh. I saw that thread, but saw it was a swap, so I didn't think of actually reading the entire thing, since mine is original. But hey, if the actuator thing works for you, let me know.

A series four swtiches face is square with the world. The S5 has a slope to it. The face is at an angle. IT, the S5 won't work in a series four UNLESS the wires in the plug are moved around and the Main button is contantly depressed. So see if the face is square with the world. I don't know how else to describe it. Mabe a jpg some later day.

The switch i had was from an S4, so that's not the problem.
