WOOO WOOO!!!

Their new line came out. Check their site. They now have full 3" catbacks.

So if anyone wants to sell me their 2.5" flared catback, let me know!! I'll buy it.

Oh yeah, and for all the fabricators, check out the intake that they have available!!! :) I'm thinking of making one for myself just like that. Looks very nice, but $550 USD for THAT??!?!?! Give me a friggin break!!! that could be made for like $20 worth of materials.

If it is that your talking about. That is the worst design I have seen in my life. And that price is impossible.

PS Check the links in my sig if you want something more affordable. And probably with better performance.

It all depends on what you are looking for..

I am not going to start a debate on what is "probably better" but having the air going thru a "straw" effect doesn't seem to be very practical either...

Well a pipe with an ID over 2.75 is no straw. The way that intake is designed you would need to have ducts/vented light cover/and or remove the rubber peice from the bottom of the hood.

Anyways I won't argue I don't want to get more threads locked.

This is no different than a cold air box. In fact it's a tad better for flow as the air is already angled where it needs to go, than a cold air box...

Its an alternative to a cold/ram air setup, which is what i'm truly after.

does anyone know if the full 3" catback will bolt up to a 3" Thunder Fab DP?

fastrotaries 07-02-03 11:02 AM

NO i don't know, but then if it doesn't just take it to a muffler shop. Probably not would be my guess, but it's a guess

Josepi 07-02-03 11:16 AM

Uhhh why does it still say the price is TBA?

1987RX7guy 07-02-03 11:17 AM

THey are figuring how much cash they can bleed out of you. ;)

Our customers have used the 2.5" system with the Thunder Fabrications downpipe. But I don't know for sure what will work and what won't.

The "straw" theory is not based on the pipe diameter, but more on the *lenght* of the pipe ;)

I have done what you are trying to do :D

1987RX7guy 07-03-03 09:19 AM

Compared to the stock system it will not be much longer. Oh well we will see. ;)
