clutch is slipping

my tranny fucked up again......this time from shifting it from 1st to reverse , trying to get a rocking motion going cuz she was stuck in snow....well that was 7 months ago.......a week ago i dropped the tranny, replaced the shift forks that you can replace on the outside, put her back on.....the problems im having now are not cool......mazda dealership had a problem with ordering the driveshaft seal, twice they gave me wrong one...so i said fuck it and went ahead and used the old one, cuz i was dying to drive it....well that was a mistake...cuz now i have a feeling thats where she is leaking from...right on the catalytic converter....which makes it burn.....its not that bad if i drive it like an old lady....but when it revs high she leaks.....and i used synthetic tranny oil, which probably aint helping...

Well heres my real problem.....it slips in every gear but 1st.....well 1st hooks up pretty good from what i can tell anyway....unless i drive it like im trying to save money on gas......its a six puck clutch...id say 50k km, just like the engine....looks like its in good shape, was hooking up better then any car i have ever been in...felt like an autamatic it hooked up so smooth..... I dont understand what the hell is up with it......and another thing.....the clutch hooked up more at the bottom b4, now its about half way....

Im thinking
a.. oil is leaking on the clutch disc somehow (but that does not explain the clutch grabbing at half, or would it, i dont know..
b.clutch is worn .....but i doubt it
c.transmission has more problems than i thought

i need some expert opinions on this

this is what happened last time (ended up being 2 shift forks jammed in together)

did u try to adjust the pedal freeplay and heighth. It was messing up my shifting and it wasnt engaging and disengaging like it was supposed to. pedal freeplay is only an 1\8 of an inch. If youve been driving like a wildman this will need to be adjusted.

did you at any point have your flywheel turned?
this i believe is my problem.
when i dropped my transmission a month ago because i fried my five puck, the flywheel had some serious score marks, some were close to 1/8 of an inch deep. so i figured i would get my flywheel turned. brought it to uap/napa and they sent it to their shop, got it back a couple days later and put everything back together, using a stock clutch i had lieng around cause i was broke at the time. Went for a drive and notices the clutch grabbing about 3/4 of the way up. And when i really hammered on it it would slip in all gears and smoke would come out of the shift boot and i could smell burning clutch. I ordered a new flywheel that should be here soon and picked up a new clutch last night, i will let you know how it goes and if it solves the problem when i get everything back together. Since my clutch has been slipping for close to a month now it is glazed for sure and now barely grabs at all. Sometimes i cant even start on a hill it slips so bad. And if i give it any throttle while going down the highway it will slip and revs will go way up and i wont go any faster. looks like you will have to drop the tranny again. Also, did you touch the clutch with your hands or get anything on it? if so its contaminated and that will contribute to slippage. good luck, and sorryt to be the bringer of bad news. Adjusting tyhe pedals wont help you, im sorry to say........

sorry i cant be of more help in diagnosing your problem but i am not sure of anything eldse that could cause it....i only turned 18 yesterday so i yhave only been around cars for 2 years. another thing that pops into mind......there is a rubber plug in the bottom of the bell housing, if you did not put it back in and your engine drips a bit of oil then some could get into that hole i suppose...the oil pan is right in front of it....also you can see your flywheel from there so check to make sure it looks okay.
