Bumper And Body Panels Help

I am looking for some help with a few things related to my 87 GXL. Some guidance from experienced people would be helpful. This is my thread to track progress. https://www.rx7club.com/build-thread...7-gxl-1165100/
I am working on getting my '87 street legal. So far all has been pretty straight forward. There has been some issues with the previous owners wreck that I was able to work around, until now. I started taking apart everything in the front wheel wells and all hubs, struts, etc. I needed to take off the splash guard off and I finally started to hit rusty screws that broke. This piece cracked: 50-110A
I think that glue might be in order, these are not available.

I will need a bunch of body clips too, that should be easy enough.
The lip of my bumper is cracked and I think if the part is available, it will be expensive. I am considering aftermarket lip options. I really don't like oversized lips so... that is a problem. Any suggestions here would be helpful. I think the original part is 50-732C

Now comes the part of the accident that I will not ignore. The front driver side fender was replaced and the paint was never completed. I finally found some pretty lousy work on the front end too. I was considering taking off the front fender to have a dent pulled, then I was going to try a home brew paint job. Not a huge loss if i do a lousy job, I will just take it to a pro to do it correctly.

Also comes the harder part, this piece is bent to hell from the accident and was never replaced.

There is little depth to this piece but it is bent in at least two ways. Also it is available still: 54-190

This is a spot weld part, as far as I can tell. I might try drilling the welds, cutting and grinding off the part. Then attaching with nuts and bolts. Unless this isn't recommended. Seeing as I need to take off the bumper, I am considering an aftermarket bumper, maybe the AIT Racing X Type Style Front Bumper or the VIS Venus. Are there any other aftermarket bumpers for an s4? I really want to continue the bumper molding in the front. It looks kind of off without it.There are some very opinionated people here about aftermarket body add-ons, let's hear them. Also. I might not be able to have a low bumper because the way my garage entry is.

One last thing is side skirts. The s4's didn't have them and the s5's did. I am not sure I want to adapt the s5's. I saw the Odula Side Step. Can those be adapted to s4 cars. I do realize that those need the s5 skirts to work. I might add both of these both of these if it is worth the hassle and can be done. There are very few side skirts that I actually like. They step out way too far. The R Magic seem very clean and tight, so do the RE-Amemiya ones and I don't think they are available anymore. Any suggestions here would be awesome, thanks.

those 54-190/53-190's take a beating from bad parking. since the fender is attached to the panel this thing supports you can tweak the fenders too.
ive always just straightened it on the car. my friend drilled out the spot welds and took it off and straightened it, and then just put it back with screws/nuts and bolts, and i think that was maybe better.

since the 53-290/54-290 is bent too, its kind of hard to straighten both when they are together, but if its apart then its really easy. my friend took these off to fix them too.

and then when you put it all together, in the body section of the manual it has a measurement to the 53-180 piece, and you can make sure you have it centered when you put it back together

Thank you for the help with this. The other side is bent too. It just isn't nearly as bad.

I am still curious about he bumper and side skirt. If anyone has any ideas that fit an S4, it would be apreciated.

The Kaminari bumper looks very retro, I am liking it. I think it's a half bumper and mabe not available. An original aero kit would be awesome. The only other option is the AIT...
Side skirts without the flare out is kinda hard to find. suggestions are welcome. Thanks.

S5 TII skirts will fit the S4 and look surprisingly good... if you chop off top parts that match the S5 moldings.

Thank you for the reply. This is exactly the kind of thing that I was looking for.

This will be the direction that I will start in. I wish that I had a belt sander to keep it straight after cutting though. Perhaps a palm sander will work. I would never cut down an original set. There are repro ones available. Hopefully, the fitment is good.

For anyone looking for body kits or aftermarket add ons in 2024 for an S4, I can't find any. The AIT is discontinued, the Kaminari aren't bumper covers and mixing and match trim levels is just not for me. Most likely you would have to do the full S5 swap.

My reasoning for an aftermarket front bumper would be to save the original. I have a spare rear bumper, not a front. For me, there aren't many kits that truely look good anyway, In my opinion.

The side skirts I want to save the rockers from additional rock damage and I like the stock ones for S5 too so... There is that.

I will add a Mustang Mach 1 front lip or get the Corksport.
