Bosch 1680cc Injectors install

they're the 3rd from the bottom
http://www.kgparts.com/newfuel.htm

anyone installed these before?

i'm gonna throw'em in on the weekend probably, i know they need some sort of modification according to the owner at KGparts, but he wouldn't reply to my email when i asked what modification it needs.

i know the injector clips has to be spliced and connected in order for it to work, but does the injectors drop in to the injector holes in the block?

thx

when i got mine from kgparts i also bought these aluminum spacer things from them that go on the tip of the injector that makes it sit flush in the block.

You seem kinda new here....so welcome....

Searching is your best friend...most likely if your asking it has been answered before.

for a week or so, i'm gonna use stock ecu to test out the normal shit. hahah ya i know milage is gonna be unbelievably horrible. but igot a microtech sitting in my room i'm gonna install once i get to it heh

ahyc84 07-22-05 03:20 PM

and sry for not lookin like isearched. but when i type in injectors, hundreds of stuff pops up...lol.

i don't think ur mileage is gonna just be affected.

Those are gonna flood the hell out of your car most likely.

Thats more than 3x the fuel than the ecu thinks is being injected.

hmm well as long as he never goes over 3800rpm it will be ok i gues... but as soo as you do all hell is gonna break loose. spark plugs are gonna foul in about 5 sec.

Use Nippodenso caps instead of trimming the yellow one, I find it does a crappy job and the big black oring doesn't seat very well if you do so

P.S. wow that's the first time someone links one of my thread as a reference ;)

lol, exactly.... Trust me its not a pretty sight....I suggest that you dont do it..Keep the stock injectors on untill you get the microtech... O and once you do get the microtech.. make sure you adjust all the different maps.. You wont beable to drive the car at all....

ahyc84 07-22-05 07:27 PM

there's actually a microtech approved tuner locally, so i'm good for tuning heh. gonna actually get it dyno tuned and all.

ahyc84 07-22-05 07:28 PM
