Boost gauge
My boost gauge shows about 20 lbs of vaccuum. Even if I rev the engine up to 3000 - 3500, the gauge stays at about -20 lbs.
Does the engine have to be under load for the boost gauge the show boost? I've changed the boost sensor and the OEM boost gauge |

20 lbs of vacuum is about right for idle. The car does not boost sitting still, you have to be moving.

well, how's the boost over 3500rpms? is it showing anything?
|
Um, this should probably be in new member technical.
If you're not really getting on the throttle, and you're just crusing at 3000 RPMs, it IS normal to be in vacuum. If you think there's a problem with the boost gauge, try going WOT and see what it reads out. |

Is it electronic? Some gauges will stay at a certain spot if not properly installed.
