A bit of a problem

Alright today was a fun filled day of working on the fc. Thanks to Finky I got a set of headers. And thats where the day started. A buddy and I started digging into the ol' rx and well.... we decided that it shoudnt be too loud if we gutted the cat. Why did we gut the cat... dont ask me. It sounded like a good idea at the time. Little was I thinking about the dang fart cans that are just short of straight pipes that were on the back since I bought the car. Ohhh.. I remembered as soon as we started the plane... I mean helicop... I mean car up. Oh man was she loud. Not only that but we threw a wildly ported throttle body on er' too.

Now not only is she loud, but shes also lacking power.... So heres what we did and I hope you guys can give me some Ideas as to how to get my power back..

Installed RB headers
Gutted cat
deleted air pump
deleted secondary butterflys in TB
ported and polished TB
deleted a lot of the stuff off of the TB
used a base model TB on a GXL
I had the 5th and 6th sleeves ziptied and I changed the ziptie on one of them and couldnt remember which way was full open. I think both rods are suppost to be down and in?

The symptoms are: Loud (know why), seems to have lost power, and seems to be running rich... keeps poping when I let off the gas. Its hard to drive in low rpm's.

I thought maybe the O2 sensor came unplugged, but it seems to be fine. Do you guys think its a back pressure problem with the exhaust, or maybe we ported the TB a little too much?

Hoping to get some ideas

Thanks,
Nick

Try making your Aux ports operational to help on your power down low. Do you feel better now with a hacked up exhaust? What were you thinking?

ok... fair enough, didn't mean to dog you out.... what are you gonna do now? What kind of header did you buy?(back-pressure pipe? Single or Dual?) Gaskets new or used? Block off plates for ACV? Air pump delete? Why don't your Aux ports work? Anything else hacked up? Rats nest removal? S4 or S5? Cats deleted I would think.

Im not sure where the ACV is so I dont know if we deleted it. I ziptied the sleeves open because supposidly its suppost to move more power to the higher R's. We deleted the air pump, deleted the coolant hoses running to the BAC. Its a set of Racing Beat street headers 2-1 then ran through stock exhaust back to the fart cans. Gaskets for the header to block was used, but the rest were new. Rats nest is still in. And its a S4 GXL.

Well just ran her, and she seems to be doing alright today. The power ban was in the higher R's, she didnt really do anything till 4g. So I dusted off the ol' actuators and poped em on. Hoping that will take care of that. Im thinking on putting the stock TB back on. proly do that later on in the day.... we'll see how she does. If she starts to act up again... well Ill dig into er' then.
