BBS 1pc Forged Mesh 16x7 Infini wheels - offset 40mm or 50mm?

MOVED FROM 3RD GEN SECTION.
I'm gonna need spacers for these, won't I?

So I ended up with a set of wheels that someone may be able to shed some light on... Experienced RX-7 Owner and forum member here, but I don't mess with FDs much at all.

I picked up an impulse buy offa CraigsList thinking they were 2nd Gen Infini wheels similar to the following:
https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generati...i-rims-848433/

I think the seller misused the terms "Infini" and "Efini" in the ad.
The FC wheels I wanted were 40mm offset.
The wheels I picked up are 50mm offset.
Aside from offset, they look identical to the wheels in the thread above.

They are reported to have come off of a JDM FD.
I've not seen any FDs with these style wheel. It's a bit too mid 1980's for the FD.
Can anyone confirm that these are a stock FD wheel (JDM or USDM) and if they're anything special?
Or did I end up with the same BBS wheels that came on any late 80's/early 90's BMW, Infinity, Lexus, etc.?

No curb rash and they're straight and true, They just need a shot of 409 and to be hit with the garden hose. Missing the center caps, but it was a good deal so I can't complain. The seller will be getting in contact with me regarding center caps later.

They are FC wheels.

the smallest OEM FD wheel is 16x8 IIRC.

BBS wheels that came stock/OEM on FD's were 17's IIRC

the FC infini had 16x7 wheels with a 40 offset, which is the same as a stock T2 wheel

the FD (i think RZ but don't hold me to it) had a similar wheel in a 16x8 50 ( i think), which is the same as any 16" FD wheel

the BBS wheel is not unique to Mazda, so if you got a set of these an it just says BBS on the center cap it could be any size/offset/bolt pattern. they are pretty good about having this info on the wheel, but ymmv!

They're clearly marked between the lug holes. 16x7 and 50ET.
I did not get any center caps with them, hence I got them for $200 for the set.

I'm guessing I just got some random BBSes. Oh well, for the price they're still good.

it'll fit in the back, and it'll be really close in the front...

What's the first thing that hits?

I've got Ohlins coilovers. The Spring diameter is a bit smaller than stock.
When picking up the wheels, the seller also had some MazdaSpeed FC coilovers. I didn't have the cash, but I contemplated going back for those.

With an fd wheel, 16x8, 50 it hits the strut, with a narrower wheel it will probably still hit the strut, but it'll be close
