Back with a new problem "meter fuse"

I did some searching and I found this thread but not really helping me much. https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generati...lowing-175709/

My car ran great until last week. Now my metering fuse keeps popping. All I did last week was replace injectors. The fuse pops before I can make it to 4th gear. The fan is hooked up to its own stand alone system. I don't know what's going on with this. Also up until the point I put the factory injectors in the turbo timer would shut the car off when I released the hand brake but now it won't shut the car off until the timer runs out or I shut the timer off manually. Since the turbo timer isn't really needed, I'm debating on removing it. Anyone have any input?

The fuse powers up to 10 possible items although you likely don't have all of them such as the auto adjusting suspension etc. If you just stay in 3rd gear or lower the fuse will not blow?

To be honest I'm not really sure, I noticed it blew when I was shifting from second to third. But at idle and reverse it holds up fine.

All that fancy electrical stuff like the adjustable suspension, I don't have. I do have the theft deterrent system though.

My turbo timer was put in by the previous owner, I'm going to run through the wiring on that tomorrow and see if he tapped into something he shouldn't have.

You're going to have to rule out each possibility by checking the items you have and narrow it down that way. You could have broken the jacket protecting the meter fuse wire when you worked on your car. Usually, the culprit is the reverse switch because it's under the car and exposed to the elements thus you might want to start w/the most obvious causes.

Right on

Is it the switch itself or the jacketing on the wires I need to check?

Could be either. You could just unplug the item and see if the fuse continues to blow.

Right on, I'll do that tomorrow when I'm off work. I'm down to my last fuse.

Do you have a GSL-SE oil pan? I'll pay $50 shipped for a good used pan

wrong thread.

Well to resurrect a dead thread, it turned out to be the reverse switch.
