AWS valve hoses, bypass?
Hello all.
The Block-AWS hose on Lucy is leaking @ high load at the AWS. Just 'seepage' but still leaking. The nipple is rotted and frankly, I'll wait the 15 mins in the winter for her to get warm enough to drive. There is an idle screw on the TB anyway.
1: What is the Internal Diameter of the hoses used for the [explicative deleted] AWS coolant circuit? I'm not paying $18 plus shipping for one hose, it seems somewhat asinine.
2: If I so decide to bypass the AWS control, what linkage or vacuum lines do I need to monkey with and how? I'm not trying to get rid of the IAC, that I know is needed, but the AWS is just ticking me off and I need to feel triumphant right now.

You can just remove the AWS valve, unplug it, and block off the inlet/outlet. The ID is around 1/2"; grab a ruler/tape measure/calipers to get the exact measurement. The BAC provides a good chunk of the additional air to bring engine speed to 3k RPM on startup, so you'll see just about no change by removing it.
