Anybody have this shift knob in thier FC?

I want to get a MOMO Combat Shift knob, wanted to know if anybody had pics of it in their FC's. I have a friend that has one in his FD, and I love the feel of it, Just never seen one in an FC. Thanks

I have one but I don't have any pictures right now. I might be able to get some shots later today. If I remember correctly, for a s5 you will need to cut the length of the shifter by a little more than an inch if you want the momo knob to be in the same place as the original. You have a series 4 so you might need to cut a little bit more. Mine is the same height as a stock s5 shifter but i have maybe a 1/4" space from the bottom of the knob to the shift boot.

You don't need to cut the shifter, you cut the end off the little rubber cap that comes with knob, this lets you set the knob farther down on the shifter before you tighten the set-screws. I've put a few of these in, my buddy has the one above in his 91 vert. Looks great.

Same buddy also sells MOMO online at www.obbnmotorworks.com, you WILL NOT find cheaper MOMO stuff on the web (sorry for the shill, it seemed like the right place for it!).....

Mine moved around too much without the rubber piece and it was too tall.

dunno what's up with that, but I had to cut mine to make it the same height as a s5 shifter.

Ok, did you get a pic of it yet? heh sorry i just really want to know how it looks in an FC

I too cut the top of my Shifter (s5) one to accomadate my Momo Tomahawk. By cutting the boot of the shifter, as GatorRX, suggests, doesn't allow suitable height, IMO. I cut off almost an Inche of the shifter. Not only It Is aggresive looking, It Is purely functionable w/o the adverse effects you'd expect with doing such a task.

You still use the rubber piece, but you cut the closed end off, so its like a tube. Slide that on, then slide the knob on, the rubber piece will sit much lower, and the knob sits on that. If you want it super short, you might want to cut the shifter. I don't like that, though, I think the shifter isn't very precise after you do that...

thanks for the pics
