Another question for the pros...
I just purchased a 91 n/a off a car lot, and it's near-mint. There are minor dings, but every piece of electronics, every plastic piece, every component works PERFECTLY. perfect suspension, P/s, A/c, no worn synchros, good oil pressure, solid temp, slight rpm surge, but TPS will take care of it (diagnosed it). My question is this:
It has 168k on it. IT HAS BEEN BABIED. There are tons of dealer stickers all over it with maitenence records. All paperwork. This thing is nice. When should I start expecting a rebuild? How many miles you think it has left? |
if you browse the FAQ for FC, i believe Icemark says 150-200K for n/as can realistically be expected if well taken care of. they've gone earlier and they've gone later.

Do a compression test, if its still over 80-85psi I bet it will hit 200k
|
I don't have a compression tester, and I don't have the money to get it tested. Yes, I have read the FAQ, but felt that due to the rarity of this car's condition, an exception might be made (i can dream can't i?) I'll snap some pics when I get my cam working. It's the best s5 I've seen around phoenix/Idaho.
