Oh well i wouldnt pay 200 for them cause i could make a set of my own. I have access to all the things to custom make my own set.

Why go to the trouble of making die molds to cast them??? Aluminum plate stock in the size needed to mill out the sill is about $35-50 a side and then you just need a small shop with a CNC machine thats willing to write a program for it. And thats usually a cut and paste issue with some of the new interfaces. A friend of mine has had stuff like that made for the LS1 club here in Dallas. But then again I think his brother is the one doing all the machine work.

If your really interested in doing it Look into the CNC route castings are for really high volume production runs as you have already discovered.

I could almost guarantee that I saw these for sale before a while back. I have no idea where though. I know it was someone on the forum that showed them to me. . .

can anyone get a picture of the sill in the car, and a top bottom and side photo of the sill taken out the car, Maybe this way us forum goers could help try to think something up

I guess I owe the forum an update. I did some research into getting this done. The bottom line is it is way too expensive. The set-up fee to create the dies, then to stamp out enough of these (two dies required - since they are mirror images of one another) was in the $8000 to $10000 range plus material. 500 pair would have to be made at over $225 a pair to break even. I certainly do not want to be in that business. Since I have been flamed more than once over cost issues, I have decided to confine my projects to myself and those who I know personally. I am having a custom set made for me by hand - as I did for my floor mats to include the 10thAE reproduction mats I had made (see the links page of my website if truly interested). I was told that "rich" guys belonged in the 3rd Gen Forum - interesting?!? Sorry, but I don't need the abuse - I was simply trying to help.

We appreciate the honesty...I don't really see a flame in this thread, but maybe that's just me. Anyways, thanks for looking into this. :)

Yes, thats a lot of money. But why give up. DieCasting is not the only way. We gave you a few ideas. And I asked for more information on how you planned to make it, then we could help anymore.

200 is to much "universal" MOMO's in 5 different styles sell for 50 bucks each. I know these would be custom so maybe 80-90 for Mazda ones. As far as stamping them out thats way to expensive (dies cost way to much) to do why not have a fab shop laser/plasma/or CNC router them off a sheet? Heck I know some one who sells chip and fab machines for a living. ie lathes mills shears brakes all that stuff Im sure he would know someone that could do this.
