Are there certain specs that I could take to a shop to have them put on rather than them using factory specs? I know a friend of mine did this with his FD and he said it was alot better than stock specs.

 

Sure - As long as your specs are within the avaialable range of adjustment on the car. Although, I'll bet the alignment shop will try to talk you out of it, telling you how it will shorten the life of the tires, etc.
