ABS problem

Today I put on new calipers and rotors on my '87 GXL with ABS brakes.
Since I bought the car it always has real spongy brakes. I flushed the system
and bled the system. I have tons of pedal with the car turned off, but when
I fire her up, the brake pedal goes to the floor and really won't even build up a
solid pedal after pumping it. I suspect the ABS computer. I would like to remove
the ABS due to its age. I checked the FSM and there is no way to check the system
without the Mazda reader. Can I just plug the line going to the hydraulic unit?
Any input would be great, yes I bled the system properly and in order (including the ABS hydraulic unit last).

I see that I can't just plug the line to the hydraulic pump. Any info on removing the system in the engine bay, but keeping everything out at the wheels?
