? about Yellow Fuel pump check connector

The yellow fuel pump check connector located by the pressure sensor/ right stut is not plugged into anything on my car.

Would this prevent the car from starting?

what does it plug into? And can I jumper it to make the ECU think thats its working?

it's not supposed to be plugged into anything. It is used test the fuel system for leaks by pressurizing the fuel system without having the car on.

You jumper it when the key is in the "ON" position to have the fuel pump run. As ilike2eatricers said, it's not supposed to be plugged into anything. It's ONLY a diagnostic tool.

Thats what im driving while im doing my RHD Jspec s5 swap. As soon as i can get my car running i will change sigs... my s5 TII wont start. some thing is wrong and its not getting fuel. My lines are correct, i have 12v to pump, 12 v to injectors but my spark plugs are still dry. My rear harness is not wired. I dont know if it needs to be wired or not for the car to run. I've tried almost everything

Not to be a smart ***, but the fuel pump connector is on the Rear harness.

Pull the connector off the fuel pump piggy back harness and look for the BLUE wire on that connector (rear harness connector to the fuel pump). IF the key is to ON and the yellow two socket connector near the afm/strut tower is jumpered, you shoul get 12vdc there and have a gnd on the pure black wire.

PUt the connector back together and under the same conditions the pump should be heard to run continously until the key is put to off or the jumper is removed out of the yellow connector.

IF the pump is heard to run, pull the fuel RETURN line off the engine. Fuel should pour out in great volumes. Be careful. Fuel should not come out the hose that connects to the engine, but out the hard line ON the engine. No fuel out the return hard line and the pump is heard to be running? Then something in the fuel rails is plumbed wrong.

Fuel pump not priming on its own with key on

Fuel pump is not working when i jump the yellow connector. At all it doesnt work sooo without the jumper connector I am getting power to the harness where the fuel pump relay is at (under steering collum) and if i jumper it right where the relay is i can get my fuel pump to work with key on position , what is causing fuel pump to not work with the yellow connector jumpered ??
