Just make sure to make the car as light as possible for the race, take out you spare tire, and any other things you can think of. as far as getting just palin extra power, i read a post on here about advancing the timing by 20 degrees and it is supposed to give you an extra 20 hp or something. one trick i learned from a rx-7 book was to put a bag of ice over the intake manifold before the race. this is supposed to cool the air coming into the engine. And the colder the air the more power you will have. Just make sure you remove the bag of ice before the race. I have never tried this before so if you try let me know the results. |
I have a video of my friends 88 gxl beat a 95 GT 4 times in a row:D
My friend only had my old pacesetter headers, not cats and some crappy crushed bent exhaust with an Apexi lookalike muffler, oh and a cone filter, and slipping clutch wich you can hear in the video. Let me go find em and I'll post em up. BTW the mustang had headers and exhaust:) So as long as you know how to drive you should kill that crappy v6:) |
Just cram the whole bag of ice up the intake, works like nitrous....
