87 Mazda rx-7 turbo ll

Hello fellow enthusiasts, I'm seeking advice on my 87 turbo ll, it currently has seats from a convertible model, I was considering switching back to stock seats.. Any advice or suggestions? Either way may need to re do upholstery...

Seats are a direct swap over, assuming you can get a set of Turbo2 seats. If you want to do upholster, now would be the time before they go into the car. You can either go custom or stock style. I don't think anyone makes a turbo2 upholstery kit, so maybe find an interior shop near you that can do that.

I personally like the turbo2 seats a lot more.

Corbeau makes a seat model, the GT2, that looks very similar to OE turbo seats and fits in the car well. My only concern with them is you sit very "proper". Not a ton of room for those over 6' and 250lb.

These guys? https://corbeau.com/products/gts-ii?...hdyq9MdYQahyZv

If so, I agree, they look pretty similar. Good alternative option if reupholstery proves to be too spendy...My seat's will need reupholstery which I'm considering but may need to shop around my local shops. I have a sneaking suspicion that reupholstery would cost as much or more than new seats.

Those are the ones. They look decent enough and the rails are ok, just cant get the big guy "gangsta lean" when cruising.

I wish they had a blue option. Would definitely be a great alternative. I got to get my seat reupholstered as well if I want to keep the OEM turbo 2 seats but if some mazdaspeed or infini seats pops up, i may think of doing that.
