720cc Injectors, S-AFC needed?

Hi guys!
Right now, in my '87 TII, I'm running 12lbs, I have MSD fuel pump, HKS BOV and a bigger westgate (not sure which brand/model, bought the car just 1 week ago), 2.5" exhaust pipes and stock injectors. I know I need bigger injector, so I'm thinking about 720 secondaries and leaving the stock primaries. Question is: do I *need* to get a S-AFC too, or can it be tuned with a Rich & Lean and EGT gauge?

On another side, the car is averaging about 8mpg in *slow* city driving (below 3,000 rpm). I think I'm running extremely rich (still haven't gotten that Rich & Lean), as spark plugs are definetly dark. Could it be due to a bad O2 sensor? How do I find out if my O2 sensor needs to be replaced?
Thx for any infos you can share!
Best Regards

An A/F gauge or EGT gauge isn't going to tune the car itself. Get a S-AFC if you want to get better performance/possibly better gas milage.

You NEED a form of fuel control(read: S-AFC)

You need a S-afc with or with out the 720cc. The Msd fuel pump is probably to much for the stock fpr. You need to have the car tuned correctly.

*Yukkies!*
Thx a lot for the fast replay guys.
Now, while I get the S-AFC ($_$), what can be done? Add more air in the flow meter?
As I am pretty brand new in this world, how hard is to set up the S-AFC? (wirings/settings)
Down here (Dominican Republic) we don't have a dyno with wideband, are the R&L and EGT gauges an option in setting the car (once I have the S-AFC)?

What do you mean add more air in the flow meter? Basically what you'll want to do is either get your own wideband to tune with, or if you know what your doing, do it by the EGT gauge.

u can buy a wideband with display for 350.

yeah if you don't have a dyno with a wideband i'd put wide band on and have a passenge video your tach and wideband so you can tune it

Hummm; at this point I'm thinkin about lowering my boost down to 8 psi, so I can have the time to buy gauges, injectors, S-AFC, etc.
Question is: will I need an aftermarket fpr anyway due to my fuel pump? If so, which Brand/model is the best? Will a generic AroSpeed to the work?
