FWIW a custom driveshaft is dirt cheap if you have flanges from both stockers to work with. It's costing me 90 bucks to have my driveshaft modifed for my swapped 7.

I havent found a 6sp from anyone thats the only reason I thought about the 8. Do you have a link or a number so I can check into buying one. How much did you pay just for the tranny?

Give you $50 bucks for the engine, tranny and ECU out of the wrecked 8 :) I'll even throw in this shiney new nickel... it's shiney :)

I don't think i'm being convincing enough, am I?

lol not a bad Idea ;) except the only thing I like about the 8 engine is it is true dual getting rid of the heat problem would be nice ;) If you want the number to the yard I will give it to you maybe you can work something out with them. I did check into the 6sp on the 8 and it sounds like it will hold up to mainly anything I wouldnt even flinch putting it in a 95 twin. I will check into the hks 6sp. Personally I always thought the fc needed another gear.

Do you think HKS just slapped on another lower gear for 6th?
Boy, are you going to be disappointed.

Well... did any one think of taking a rx8 engine and tranny and put it into a FC?... everything should work out.. besides the weight difference... or just slap a V8 chevy engine into the FC.. with a 6 tranny from some other car..

Or sell the car and buy one with a V8 in it already.

Amazing how a soft clutch, OEM grip wheels, and not 7000rpm launching keeps things from breaking
