3800 RPM hesitation grounds

I have the infamous 3800 hesitation on my 86 GXL. I wanted to try the cleaning/reground technique on aaroncakes.net.

I started to look around for a part number for the upper intake gasket. When looking on cochran-racing's service manual it only shows a throttle and dynaminc chamber. I am guessing this is the upper intake manifold?

So then the gasket, according to mazdamotorsports.com, would be called part # 13-116B gasket, resolution chamber.

Can someone verify this? I didnt want to order the wrong part and never use it.

Or if someone has any other suggestions to try.

thanks

your thread title is pretty misleading lol

(sorry, if I had an answer to your actual question I'd give it to you)

Have you tried checking your 5/6 port actuators to see if they are activating?
it may not be electrical at all.

I checked the ports, they are working fine.

I didnt even think of checking mazdatrix. Ill give em a ring in the morning. Thanks

your hesitation has nothing to do with the intake gasket.

But to get to one of the ground connections I have to take the upper intake off.

Yeah, so it was totally my fault about the different part number. I was reading the D-Code. When you look at the D-Code it does specify the part number 13-112A-N326 that mazdatrix has.

Sorry to waste everyones time, it was a long day!
