for real. I want to race my dad he has a 2007 v6 mustang with dual exhaust. You think a stock fc vert could beat him. Winner gets major bragging rights

lmao, i was going to say the 68 mustang and the 2007 mustang are completely different, and you have no chance, but actually the spec sheets are exactly the same...

the 68 had 210hp the 2007 has 210hp.. granted the 68's horses are wheezy asthmatic ones, it probably puts the same hp to the ground as the FC NA does.

the suspension and brakes on the 68 were primitive in 1968. although the 2007 is still running on a solid rear axle and teeny discs in the front (the 68 runs on 11.5 rotors, 07 uses 12").

the 07 does 0-60 in 7.3 seconds, which is faster than the FC, but its 500lbs heavier, and its a ford so if you throw some turns and braking zones at it you have a chance...

Fc vert should not be considered fast especially stock....... its a cruiser....
A brand new prius is probably faster than a stock fc vert.

And what's up are you selling it or what I see it on craigslist all the time now your racing it?

The instant torque available from electric motors make cars like the Prius deceptively quick off the line, they can be quite entertaining in city driving.

If you define "faster" as absolute top speed, I have no idea which car wins but if you mean "quicker", the Prius would whomp the vert consistently and decisively.

Quicker Is more what I meant...... but I think vert has top speed of 125mph but I doubt many stock verts can get close to that today.....

In Europe and Japan where verts were turbo stock..(like they should have been) that would be different, tho still slow by today's standards haha

Slow does not mean not fun tho....I've learned alot about driving and car control with my vert because it's slow and I can push the car to its limits, but not my limit...if I would have started with and turbo It would probally be in a ditch.
