on the 88 don't forget there are several versions, one for the FC3C, one for the coupe w/o ABS, one for the coupe w/ ABS etc.

The series 5 ones will also plug right in to most 88 models, since the changed in 88 the hood type and to the blacked out lens, and kept that style the through the remaining FC production

the s5 will plug up but it wont work quite right. Everytime I opened my door, the washer light would come on or something to that extent. Other than that it was almost the same. Im back to an S4 one now.

87 used a different warning unit than any other year. You couldn't use a 88 or later without moving wires and pins, plus the layout is different and you would need the 88+ trim bezel/hood when using the later version.

Again it clairify...

The 86 used a panel with no ABS and a red/orange clock or a panel with no ABS and a fan warning and again that same red/orange clock. The angle of the was towards the rear.

The 87 had either fan, no fan, or ABS and the clock was white/blue. Again the panel angled to the rear.

The 88 and later models used a blacked out panel with a blue clock with the angle of the panel toward the front.
There was a base, and ABS and convertible versions.

There was no Series 5 version... the series 5 cars used the same panels as the 88's.
