With the help of the other aero pieces.. (lip, undertray, pieces in front of the wheels)

Wow, thats the only stock FC that is cleaner looking than mine when i bought it.

fcunderwater 06-07-07 12:12 PM

Wow, my 86 looks nothing like that. I can't believe how much of a difference 125xxx more miles does to a car like this. It's so much more beautiful, kinda makes me disappointed...lol if you can get it for 6k go for it man, I don't think you'll ever see a cleaner "original" fc than that.

CyberPitz 06-07-07 12:55 PM

That's one sexy car, but for 6k? I'd probably pay 4500. Then again, I've never seen something like this, so I can't quite judge the price good enough.

Very awesome looking car.

wildkats 06-07-07 12:57 PM

the engine pics gave me wood...

Very awesome looking car.

I asked him today if he was serious about selling it (no prices were suggested yet he just asked yesterday if I wanted to buy it) and he said he wants to keep it since he has had it so long. What a tease. ;)

The 6k was what I would be willing to offer if he actually wanted to sell it, with a KBB of 4.3k I feel in that condition 6k would be worth it, hell you probably couldn't find one in this kind of shape in the 90's, let alone the late 00's.

To bad you have no idea what you are talking about. That's an 87. The 86 model was confused with 240z cars. I had an 86 I bought new off the showroom floor and the bodystyle was completely different.

It's been confirmed. This is now a zombie thread. And your wrong Kenneth. The 86 and 87 were almost identical. The 85 was different. Two fails in a row.

I've once owned an '86 Sport. I bought it new in Jan or Feb '86 when I lived in Cincinnati. It was Tornado Silver with maroon interior and had manual R&P steering. You're right when you say it was a pleasure to drive. From your first photo, it looks like the wheels are on wrong. The Sport came with directional wheels (and tires) that are marked "L" and "R".

just had a customer with an 88 arctic silver TurboII with 28k original miles, garaged its whole life. never seen an arctic silver with pristine paint like that either.

he's selling it too, said he'd take $8k if anyone is interested(firm at that price). is located in Boca Raton, FL.

the car even had rare options like the S4 coupe in door speakers, hatch cargo cover(never once seen this on an S4, it was purchased as a dealer addon option) and also has the optional rear aero package.

Thanks for clearing that up there. Now we know.

yeah the 86 was special, they made it for 1 year only!

special as that guy.

Gorgeous car, good luck with it!

Johnnyvantage 12-30-17 12:05 AM

Wow..

That’s a gorgeous ride!

Battery cover and tie down missing. :) Is there an RX-7 in the world where these are still in-tact?

Can't quite see if the little plastic TPS adjustment cover is still in place.

Ryder Yuan 12-30-17 05:15 PM

looks mint!

there's a few, this is the car that i mentioned and wound up sold.

note the cargo cover, it's the first i've ever seen one on a pre 1989 FC. not quite the same material or matching the interior color perfectly either since it is blue. i suspect they sold almost none of those cargo covers for the S4, and this one was perfect condition still.

My old FC had the battery cover intact, they are rare though!

When I restored my 10AE, I made sure that it was restored with the correct battery cover and sticker, Have to have that battery cover. Took me some time to find one:

I WOULD LOVE TO FIND A BOX AND COVER FOR MY BATTERY ON MY 87 NA, IT WOULD MAKE ME FEEL COMPLETE . BUT VERY HARD TO FIND.

sevenup 09-22-18 03:55 PM

The rear spoiler only came on the 86 sport (I own one) I think the wheels are wrong as previously pointed out. The 86 Sport is becoming a very rare bird. It is basically a turbo II chassis without the turbo motor, and the lightest five lug second gen out there. Mine has an aluminum hood.

sevenup 09-25-18 02:43 PM

I checked the wheels on the sport ,these are correct and directional.
