13b Carb manifold

I recently bought a nikki carb that has been rejetted and fixed so it fires as a 4-barrel. what mods do i have to do to make my carbs fit on my 6-port 13b. ive already tried searching but i couldnt find anything.

why would you want to put a carb on a fuel injected motor? the 13b isn't a 12a, or a small block chevy ya know. fuel injection is used on all modern cars for a reason...

Captain_kirk 10-15-08 03:04 AM

because its what i wanna do. its the setup that I want. if you want a fuel injected car, the by all means do what you want. dont bash me for what i wanna do. if your gonna bash dont even post. I posted this thread for help, not to be bashed.

yea i wanna know as well...
my friend was gonna do this as well...
i belived he said carb has better respons,
then fuel injection?

well how about you look at it this way. your question is extremely vague, and it leads me to believe you just bought a "sweet carb", but you have no idea what benefits it will have, or the drawbacks you will get. Also, by saying "what mods do I need to make it work" you are also saying "please guys, I have no idea whats going on, make this carb fit on a car that it was not designed for"

come back with a more specific and educated question like "how can I rewire my car to make it accept a carb instead of injectors", or "is there an adapter I can buy that will make this carb bolt up to the stock intake manifold" and maybe somebody will take you seriously.

for now this is going in the same category as when people ask "I bought a really cheap set of FD twin turbos, how can I make them fit on my FC"

I have a Jaytech intake manifold hooked up to my holley right now. It's for sale. PM me if your interested...

I'm trying to go the reverse direction of you though. Go back to the EFI system. Carb'd is annoying, trust me...

Captain_kirk 10-15-08 12:28 PM

Then all you had to say was "can you be more specific" or something along those lines.

And maybe your right is was to vague..........What I was wondering is that I have been told you have to swap the distributor from a 12a, I already have the manifold, What kinda MSD's do they offer that i can see some good gains from.

You don't have to run all the fancy MSD ignition stuff. Or at least I'm not. My car is running on the 12a dist cap and coils. It use to spank little hondas up and down the road all day long until one of my rotors popped (bad fuel jet to the rear rotor).

I'll sell you them too if you want them since I'm switching to a 13B-T in the next month or so here. I can give you every thing you would need to do the conversion to carb.
