10thAE ECU firmware - or any S4 T2

Does anyone have a dump of the ECU firmware for a US Series 4 T2 model? I kind of assume all the S4 turbo's have the same firmware but I am 1200 miles from my car in winter storage and can't go look at the part number on it. If anyone has a good photo that makes it possible to read what CPU it has that would be great too. I am pretty sure it is a 68k for embedded applications, but I need to know exactly which variant it is to work with it.

i think if you search around here it maybe has been posted? off the top there are two, although they should be really similar. there was an N332 ecu and an N333 ecu

It is kind of amazing how confused the subject of which ECU number goes with which model gets. the more I read the more I find conflicting information. Based on my VIN I think I have an earlier 88 MY build. Searching for firmware dumps has not gotten me very far - lots of FD articles and suggestions to run a modern ECU on the FC and FD but my interest is in looking at the original software not in tuning my car. I think I'll just have to wait a bit and check my car the next time I can lay hands on it.

parts catalog is pretty simple,
N332-18-880 is 1987 and N333-18-880 is 1988

the catch is that if it was replaced there were reman units, and those may or may not have gotten an update
although you can use any of them in your car and not notice a difference

Cool. I'll poke around again for a dump of its ROM then and I can sanity check when I get to the car. Do you know off the top of your head whether you can put a tap on the thing in-circuit or if you need to remove the chip to read and write it (and presumably install a socket in the ECU for convenience)?
