painted stock wheels are still stock wheels and dont really look much different. Just leave them.

turboIIrotary 07-28-11 03:06 AM

silver with polished lips

Phoenix Jones 07-28-11 03:11 AM

Leave them alone. I would never paint factory wheels.

ben.farnath 07-28-11 03:29 AM

fluro green.

I think im not going to paint them now, i like the way they cleaned up lol.

AGreen 07-30-11 08:02 PM

White/gold/gunmetal/green??? Gross. Don't insult the convertible BBS wheels like that. Original silver with locking center caps is the only way, because they look damn good like that.

There are a dozen of threads about this shit. Paint them whatever the Fuck you want. At the end of the day they're just Vert wheels and nobody gives a Fuck

12lb BBS rims seem pretty real to me

To the OP, if it were me I'd loose the bling bling red lugnuts and put the center caps back on....but it's your car do what you want

If it were mine id leave the rims stock but paint the inners and the inside of the combs or whatever you call it black to make the wheels appear larger

AGreen 07-31-11 08:34 PM

^
I tried that once. It made them look smaller... and stupid. Back to silver they went.

Thank you. I wish people would figure this out and stop embarrassing themselves.

Painting the center of a wheel and leaving the lip polished (or a lighter color) should only be done on 17's (really 18's) because it always makes the wheel look AT LEAST 1" smaller than it actually is (dependinding on the size of the lip). So you can imagine how stupid it would look if one were to start off w/ 15's...

fc DonnyB 08-04-11 11:33 AM

yep yep im sticking with the stock color just need to polish the sh** out of em.

funkjaw 08-04-11 11:55 AM

i dont know what y'all are talking about. they look amazing painted gold.

funkjaw 08-04-11 02:44 PM

I have spray painted black vert rims on my vert... and honestly it looked cool for a little while because it was different... but I now like stock vert rims better.

P_Lav 08-04-11 03:37 PM

I had Lincoln mesh (very similar to the verts, but less of a lip) on my FC painted gold with metallic flake, and silver lip, looked pretty good to me.

Sorry aren't the like a 6in or 6.5 for width? Pretty weaksauce if u ask me. Keep the pizza cutter sizes for winter driving.

The problem is painting the centers a dark color. As mentioned earlier, light colors such as white, gold, or silver are usually fine.

Yes, that too.

slidin RX 08-04-11 11:32 PM

why paint the stock mesheys.... i say because some of us are broke, and cant buy real rims. keeping the car running is hard enouf... haha and because vert wheels are sooooo light, why get heavy rims..... gold vert rims FTW!!

Tatsumaru 08-05-11 01:46 AM

I like the gold and silver well done!

wjk0817 08-05-11 03:04 AM
