Nothing on the car is "just there"...there's a reason- good, bad or weird- for everything.

Can you imagine...

The designer of the window trim is at his drafting table, supervisor walks up and looks over his shoulder.
"Um, Hiro...looks pretty good but what's that lump in the channel rubber?"
"Ah, I hiccuped and didn't feel like redrawing the whole thing."
"OK, fuck it. The gaijin will never know."

R.E.wing_FC3s 10-22-09 02:08 AM

its a spring that helps to hold the window channel in place. they are a pain in the ass to get in when you replace said channel

Damzil 10-22-09 02:14 AM

that's awesome I assumed that's what they're for, my bf asked me what they were and I BS it, good thing I guess right w00t!!

clokker 10-27-09 05:48 AM

DC 91 fc3s 10-27-09 06:07 AM

lolz foreals??? than whats the big telescoping antenna in the back for haha

clokker 10-27-09 06:55 AM

Most modern aftermarket windshields come with the embedded antenna whether or not the car had one originally.

RotaryRocket88 10-27-09 06:16 PM

From the training manual (pg 15-23):

Diversity (dual) tuning system for FM
The system now includes two antennas and tuners so that stereo broadcasts can be better received by automatic selection of whichever antenna provides the best reception conditions.

fc3sfreek 10-28-09 12:00 AM

well its a good thing my rear antenna is gone, and also a good thing i didnt decide to cut the wires from the front one
