I am definitely interested in these I've been wanting them forever! Please keep us updated and me difinitely.
Bump of interest.

What happen to this?
OP hasn't been online in over a month |
Sorry guys, no progress on these. My car repairs broke the bank and to top it all off I'm tied up most of the summer moving. The new place has a better garage/shop so hopefully I can make some progress after the move.
No worries, keep us posted though.
Definitely interested
I am curious to see how these turn out, I have a nice set that I never got to install, but man I love the look of mudflaps.
so is this even going to happen?
I lost my driver's side mud flap, I don't have fronts, and I'll be in the Vancouver area this December.
So if you could resurrect this project, and maybe heat that garage so you can pour a set, I'd be appreciative. Any chance you could cast a set out of white urethane? Mahalo, ~j |
these done yet i am extremely interested especially for 100 bucks
^+1
Finally settling into the new place and the workshop is setup. I'm shopping around for suppliers now...even looking at bringing in a barrel from Asia. Hoping to start casting in early spring.
Cool. I'm in BC right now. Guess I'll have to wait for spring and pay postage. Nevermind the request for white, I changed my mind and want black.
Keep us posted. Thanks, ~j |
i would be so down for mud flaps
I'm in.
Interested!
I think i would like some.
Same here. :)
I could use a set.
It's tax return season bro, time to get on this and get your money back.
I want at least 1 whole set. Make it last and waterproof, we both live in the same naborhood lol. |
BAH ! GET ON THIS YO. i got a set of fd wheels with 245s on the back and every time it rains or i go through a parking lot it throws tiny rocks every where. I really want a set !
I'm in too. looks like you have got some work ahead of you sir.
Demand is here.
We want mudflaaaaaps!!! :(
In for two sets.
I'm SO in for this.
Hi guys,
I'm going to the local urethane supplier tomorrow and will likely pour a set this week. I'll post em up in the for sale section when I'm done. I'm looking for feedback before I pour a larger batch. Thanks, Ed |
If I don't EFF up I should be posting a set of 4 plus a pair of rears.
YESSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am buying atleast two sets. |
Spiffy!
OK. So I've run a heating duct to the garage so it isn't so frickin cold in there. I've got a pair of rears on the way. I'll probably put them up in the for sale section on the weekend.

how much are you looking for a set of 4?
Cost all depends on how many sets I can squeeze out of a bucket of rubber. I should know more by the weekend once I've used up all of the product.
subscribed....count me interested, pending cost
I think what makes originals priced so high is that they're rare. Idk about $90 for just 2 of them with no hardware though. That's just me though.
Other than that, they look awesome. |
Thanks Waldog. It takes me 3 hours of my time per pair. What's killing me right now is the cost of urethane. As for mounting hardware, I could probably scrounge up some screws and speed nuts. For the brackets, I was thinking of just using plumbers strapping. It's not as rigid but it should do the job. Then there's the business of all the 3M double sided tape that has to go on.
Unfortunately, even at $90, I'm barely even breaking even after factoring in the cost to make the molds. Anyways, maybe someone out there will want them. In my mind, they're much better than the foam originals. |
How about making some of the S4 aero pieces.
The pair I have are already rusted from the inside. They won't last much longer. https://www.rx7club.com/attachment.p...8&d=1210531348 |
that is barely noticeable
That is not my car though. Just a reference pics I used.
I bought mine at the junk yard for four bucks haha. For mounting it I used the 3m tape on the bottom piece and drilled through the little piece of the inside of the fender and used two nuts and bolts per side. The tape is holding uP well with snow and the rain. Came out to like 3 bucks for the hardware on both sides
LaMuerte - I've got those too. I also have the wedges for the s4 frontbumper. I was going to tackle those this summer. I don't want to mount them and have them just waste away since they're rare.
overpaid4myfc - are you using brackets on your mudflaps? I don't really think they're needed. What do you think?

I need a front set, or if anyone just has a front drivers side one they want to sell me, my car came minus that 1...
How hard is the rubber? Could I run sheet metal screws into it?
same hardness as a door mat. I would say you could drive a sheet metal screw into it.
