it was only like $10 so yea i guess its worth it lol. the garage seal is rubber so its bendable and shit. you just need self tapping screws to secure it properly. its really not all that hard to put on. took about 15mins to do.

I got my pignose lip for $10 bucks, so do the math. Go to a wrecker, and repaint with a spray can, easy as fack.

I happen to own a Volvo 940 and took the lip from it and installed it in my vert. It did require some cutting but no a lot. It came out really nice.

Twins80s 10-25-10 08:24 PM

i like that better than the volvo cause it looks cleaner with the stock body. the volvo ones you need skirts or TII skirts with side diffusers

Pettersen 10-26-10 02:38 AM

The 626 lip needs a bit of modification to fit properly, sides aren't long enough. But when done right it looks like it could have been a stock option.
740 lip does need some supporting body mods to look just right, but then again the lip itself fit's perfect.

Personally i'm going with the 740 lip and RE-A diffuser, should look good, tho i might need a skirt eventually.

iani1.1 10-26-10 03:39 AM

the volvo lip and t2 sideskirts

with these
https://www.rx7club.com/chaser-aero-279/feeds-style-undersides%3B-carbon-fiber-carbon-kevlar-fiberglass-924296/

would look soo sick with a diffuser. straight up clean street car look

My Volvo lip is exactly the same but it was longer. I had to cut 3" out of it

The stock lip extends just as far as the 626 lip.

redlineracer 10-26-10 10:52 AM

My lip was off of a 940

iamxeddiex 10-26-10 12:06 PM

The 626 lip in the picture I posted had one hole modified. It will bolt up to stock. Jetta mk3 lips work but I bet they'll need some modification. A s-10 lip would make the car a street sweeper.

BBerry 10-26-10 01:23 PM

my homemade lip

Well, this one is a little more labor intensive, but i made this in my garage with some fiberglass stuff from wal-mart, some styrofoam from hobby lobby, and aluminum foil and stuff... sorry i don't have any pictures at the moment but you can kind of see it in this video.

<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/-P3kBeFewAg?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/-P3kBeFewAg?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

It's flexible enough not to crack. I scrape it leaving my driveway all the time, and it's handled it just fine.

I had to drill 10+ of my own holes in the 626 lip for mine to line up with the stock mounting position. I don't know how you only had to modify 1 hole.

Thats the best looking lip I've ever seen for the s4.

sweet man, defintly lookin for 626 lip then. and ya lmao it is a street sweeper  i was thinking of naming my car bull dozer haha this is a good thread

iani1.1 10-26-10 03:57 PM

BBerry's real homemade lip is pretty sweet.

i thought about making a front diffuser for the s4's but it was harder than i thought.

10aeRX7 10-28-10 04:54 PM

Made using black diamond edging. its used to edge out garden/flower beds.

Rob XX 7 10-28-10 04:59 PM

these garden edgers and garage door guards look pretty much just like that, at least go for a lip from another car and make it work

Well, at first. Then finished product had 3 holes modified two near the brake ducting and one in the middle.

10yearrx7 10-29-10 04:48 PM

I agree with rob. A lip from a different car is Ok but these damn garden lips... it belongs in your yard not on your car.

driftxsequence 10-29-10 05:02 PM

where do you guys find your 626 lip at? junkyard? internet?

Junkyard. If you tell them its a lip from a front bumper, its $8. If its "miscellaneous trim" its $6.

10aeRX7 10-29-10 11:30 PM

it was free for me since i do landscaping but i do agree i have a 240 lip just havent had the time to install it. ive tried to find the volvo lip but nothing local. so for now this works.

Yeah I was talking about the sides too. The stock lip doesn't extend all the way to the wheel well on the sides, just like the 626 lip.

branker 11-16-10 11:04 AM

What yr 626 lip?narrow it down a little!!

2g3n7 11-16-10 11:15 AM

^^ what he said .. i maybe going to pull a part this weekend

branker 11-16-10 12:57 PM

That's why I said that because pull-A-part has about 20 different yr 626's!!

Hypertek 11-16-10 01:04 PM

Or at the split he could have cut the edge at a 45 & reverse cut the other side so the over lapped & used adhesive to bond hiding the joint.

This is Johnsonite Cove base / wall base
