Gauging Interest: 2010 Second Gen Calendar
Hey guys -
First, let me give you some background information on me. My name is Chris Glog, from NY. I drive an 84 GS, stock. I reshot the body a Land Rover orange roughly 2 years ago. I used to work at a print shop and started going to college for print. I realized it was way too expensive, so now I attend college for Heating and Air Conditioning. I still occasionally work for the print shop, where I got the 2009 First Generation Calendars printed at last year. Now to the fun stuff; I put on the 2009 Calendar for the first generation guys last year. It was a huge success and everybody loved them. The price was $15. The link to the 2009 Calendar thread is in my signature. So what do you guys think? Is anyone down for a second generation calendar? Thanks, Chris {Mods, please let me know if this thread is okay, thanks} |
I personally would love it. I would love it even more if we got our own second gen members cars in the calender.
|
Thats exactly what it will be; RX7club.com Second Generation Owners Calendar.
If there is enough interest, which I am sure there will be, people can submit their car[s] picture[s] to me, I will host it on my site, with some sort of voting system. Last years 2009 calendar I had a little less than what I wanted, but it was the first time someone pulled through with it. There wasn't a voting system on 2009's simple because I used the highest resolution so it would come out clear. Chris |
Id take one for sure!!
|
I would love one. Is it going to be glossy?
|
sounds good i would get one.
|
sounds like a good idea, but a voting system will mean everyone will just keep voting for thier own car- thats what happens at the car shows around here, people get some kind of satisfaction for not legitimatly winning something but rather rigging the win.
|
@Rob: I still have a while to work on this. I'm beginning to program small things and am in touch with a big programmer currently to help do this. It will track via cookies and IP Address.
@Red: It is 100# Glossy paper. It's nice because once the month is over, you can rip off the top and hang it. |
i would probably get one...as long as there weren't a bunch of riced out/busted fc's on it
|
im sure with the entries you get you could always use some for the following year calender as well.
|
i would be down. . . you should print the top 12 for each month and do like the cover of all the cars sumbmitted so everyone has a little picof their car. win/win. ill submit mine but its not a monster like some others are. broke college kid
|
When it comes time for the actual design (mid october I started last year but I finished mid November to get all submissions), I will be discussing format, layout and cover image.
I want to build another site with car of the month, member, etc and get users very involved. I have yet to do this, but I did start. |
Not just yes, but HELL YEAH!!:ylsuper:
|
I'm in. I will buy one for sure.

And as far as my vote, I'd say hell yes a 2nd gen calendar would be cool, but I would prefer that at least half of the content be of stock looking cars... if it is just a bunch of tuner cars, it might as well be a Honda street tuner mag. |
hell yeah i'm in! i bought a couple of the first gen calenders and they came out great!
|
I would be in, would be friggen wicked! Except I would want 50% of the pics with models posing on top of the cars. :icon_tup:
The ultimate would be pics from this thread, on a calendar. Except it would require a decent amount of work getting the girls's consent and drivers's consent. https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...t=girls+rx7+fc This thread should be stickied to get a high rate of attention. Just in case it gets lifted, subscribed! |
I would be in too. As far as preferences go I think clean FC's would look best.
|
:icon_tup: I'm definitely in
|
I'd get one. As a matter of fact I'm PMing you about availability of the 2009 calendar.
I'd prefer mostly stock looking cars, as I am also not a fan of huge bodykits. Not sure what's in the 2009 calendar, as links seem to be broken, but action shots of driving down the road or autocrossing would be awesome. |
imma guess its gonna be all the same stock looking fcs?
since the general conscious of this forum is towards that lmao |
all stock FCs would be super dull
drifter FCs with crap hanging off them and zip tied bumpers is even worse |
Id say a good mix of tuned and stock cars in the calendar would be pretty awesome.
I say we have an official Voting thread on cars that get to be in the calender...OoOoo id definitely buy. |
just a suggestion it should be with iconic fcs
fcs that are not just forum fanbased, but have some sort of historics or are icons in the tuning scene. http://www.re-amemiya.co.jp/fuurin/pic/mm_fc_fuurin.jpg http://www.streetconcept.com/prodima...ce_front_3.JPG http://i367.photobucket.com/albums/o...ranckFreon.jpg http://ll.speedhunters.com/u/f/eagam...JTP%20copy.jpg http://ll.speedhunters.com/u/f/eagam...278%20copy.jpg http://ll.speedhunters.com/u/f/eagam...iro%20FC/1.jpg http://ll.speedhunters.com/u/f/eagam...w%20FC/sn8.jpg http://img380.imageshack.us/img380/3...ts2z003yr9.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...Shinobi/08.jpg just an idea, of course you would need all new pics, unless you can get permission from those people. Its gotta have exciting cars!!! make it exciting!! |
how about you have to own the car?
just saying I would rather see home town cars then cars that have been all over the internet for years and years that came out of shops |
