Definitive FC Front Bumper Identification Thread

As far as I searched, there isn’t a thread for identifying all the FC bumpers that we know about, lots are obscure and so rare that most people probably haven’t heard of them. If you’re like me, you notice that people are always asking “what ______ is that?” so now we have somewhere to look it up and decide which bumpers look like which. I’ll also have one for rear bumpers, side skirts, wide-bodies, lips, and wings, as I get the time.
I have a pretty big collection of pictures that I’ve saved from different websites, forum threads, etc. and I’ve spent some time trying to best identify which bumpers came from which manufacturer, then I came across this website (usa.auto-style.jp) which had pretty much everything I was looking for.
I'm almost positive there's more that I don't know about so feel free to post up pics you have already. And if anyone knows the names of specific kits and/or has better pictures that can replace or add to the ones I have, post them up and every couple of weeks as mistakes are corrected (as I’m sure there’s a few) I’ll message a mod to change the original post.
You’ll notice that many of them are similar so when you’re trying to identify which brand yours is, pay attention to little details like certain angles of ducting, bulges in certain areas, subtle differences in opening sizes, etc.
I’d prefer to keep pictures of known replicas out of the original post but by all means post them later in the thread so people know they’re out there.

Very nice thread. Very well thought of and put together.
Just want to mention the BORDER Full Type II looks identical to the CORKSPORT type II front bumper look here: http://www.corksport.com/corksport-t...nt-bumper.html

Rob XX 7 04-15-12 05:13 PM

Some are rather, interseting

Risky Devil 04-15-12 06:17 PM

It's because CORKYSPORT is a knock off of Border.

lol I didn't want to point that out because I like other corksport products... but yea it's 'modeled after' the Border bumper

FRONT LIPS! As most of you know there are so many options for FC front lips from other vehicles, and even more replicas of the good stuff, so I’ll just post the original ones that I know about.
Also if anyone can find me where the LUCKY front lip comes from, please do. I see it all over the place on the forum but couldn’t find a website that sold it. It looks like their original design so I posted it.

Is the shine auto front bumper basicly the same as the TBO Type II Full bumper posted above? Might just bee the pictures but the fog light area looks different to me...

M-Sport.

CS13B 04-20-12 11:59 AM

^ maybe.. but it has the light-holes cut out like the BN kits... so I'm not sure. The sideskirts and rear bumper are definitely M Sports.

Some other online sources say it's a TBO copy... so most likely.

Erebuni front, rear, and side skirts. That dark blue Elite Racing FC has an Erebuni spoiler. These have been all but discontinued though, I was lucky enough to pick up a set second hand. Last year I called a company that bought the molds from Erebuni and they had one set left and didn't plan on making any more in the foreseeable future.

Look at the cut out in the middle of the bumper. It's M-Sport style. And you could do that cut out on any bumper. Seen it done stock too.

I've had a look at m-sport and the lower part is defo m sport, perhaps a modified m-sport front? Looks damn good either way.

FC_fan 04-22-12 12:55 PM

anyone know what the tec-arts purple fc actually runs? I thought it was the car service hiro bumper but upon comparing it looks a little different but close. obviously ignoring the splitters/canards all over it.

http://www.tunerzine.com/coverage/24...n_day1-210.jpg

FC_fan 04-22-12 01:19 PM

^I think I was correct in thinking its car service hiro BUT they chopped the bottom off and used a huge flat lip/custom flat section. thats the only part that looks different. opinions?

Rotary_Junkie 04-22-12 01:49 PM

To clarify for others, that all other brands that arnt mentioned are most likely knock offs. Chaser aero seems to be pretty bad

I always thought the Tec-Arts front bumper was their own design completely but I couldn't find it anywhere outside of the pictures of this car so I didn't post it up. Maybe it's a one-off for that car?

Spirit-RE 04-22-12 04:53 PM

take a look on page 1 at the car service hiro bumper. it looks almost exactly like it except for the lower flat section and tec-arts added canards and wind splitters to it. there is one VIS bumper on page 1 that kinda has the same look too but a lot of the bumpers posted are in japan mostly or just really rare, especially the car service hiro one. I like that the center opening is bigger then most other bumpers on that one, more air flow for when I go v mount. but ya, tec arts one is slightly modified on the bottom of a car service hiro bumper is what I'm thinking.

CS13B 05-09-12 07:49 PM

Oh also Steevo, that link I posted in the first post sells the bumper, although I've never heard of anyone dealing with them, so I have no idea how they get all these old, rare, discontinued bumpers.
Perhaps tread lightly while dealing with them if you're serious about finding that front end.
And don't forget that one is for a widebody kit.

I was mainly interested in the type-c now that i know what the bumper is called. I'll send Yours Sports an email to see if they still market them. Meanwhile I'll try to find other links that perhaps sells the same bumper.
