Will look horrible because they are not size intended for a rwd sports car.

Id stay away from rotas

RB motoring has some real regamasters last time i looked

I have rota torques, they work great for a street car. I don't know why you would go racing with them, but IMHO, they are absolute perfect street wheels.

Rotas are cheap wheels. You can order them in custom offsets, backspacing, and size. But when you're done with that, you probably can get a nice set of sunken TE37's for the same price.

be patient. watch ebay and RBwheels.com

i just got a set of BBS RS for super cheap for the VW and a set of TE37's for 800$ brand new in box.

ouch... note to self don't be tempted to bye rota...

j9fd3s 05-06-09 12:12 PM

we've raced on rotas for years, they are the perfect race wheel actually. WHEN the drivers hit things, its not $500 a wheel to replace.

the race car is not some big tank (2400lbs), and we run the RB wheels mostly and have never had a problem

rx7_FREAKKK 05-06-09 12:18 PM

They are not made in china Right? Tell me that rim didnt break on its own Just making a turn? You had to hit something right?

afpreppie04 05-06-09 01:28 PM

I think they are made in the Philippines. I had a wheel break on me like that before, but it was an american racing wheel (not on my rx7) and it was when it hit a curb during a sandstorm.

damn i didnt kno they were that bad, i see basicly ALL the imports around here driving around on rota...or prob drags since there the same but cheaper...does anyone kno if drag brand is better?

raffer 05-06-09 05:29 PM

rota slip stream (spoon look ) 21 pounds ouch !

KhanArtisT 05-06-09 05:55 PM

Douplepost (?)

I've an FC with them, it looks OK. Good choice for cheap aftermarket wheels for a better tire selection. Posting pics of broken wheels without a story is easy, I live in an area with a big import community (Central FL) and personally don't know of anyone that has broken a set of rotas. Other alternatives would be sportmaxx's, old school meshes from an american car widened by a wheel shop, or ARE (american) meshes from ebay. Just do your research on offsets/width and tire setups unless you want it to look wack.

I sure hope this doesnt happen to xd-9s! :tonque:

Hypertek 05-07-09 09:51 PM

most of those pics of broken rotas are because they are cast molded, and the drivers dont know how to drive lol... The real wheels that those wheels knock off, are mostly forged, and do not snap break like that, they will mostly bend and fold up etc, and you dont typically see their drivers put them into that type of abuse smashing into curbs etc :icon_tup:

SouthSideSlider 05-08-09 08:21 AM

i say go for it rotas are cheap to replace if needed and normally are decent wheels i mean yes they break in an accident but in everyday driving they are just fine. my freinds run rotas all the time on subis, boosts on Evos are common. and my freind has the TE37 lookalike rotas on his FC

JCurry 05-08-09 08:40 AM

anyone have any pics of some slips on a fc?
