Seats for '94 RX-7

I'm very interested in putting the Sparco Milano Prestige seats in my car, however I know that I'd need custom brackets made. I also want to be sure it will fit. I've seen one post here (can't remember which one now) where someone else did put the Milano in their car so apparently it can be done.

What other seats would you recommend for street? I don't really want a pure racing seat since this car is driven a fair amount, yet I might be doing some autocross with it.

After asking around here and doing my research I'm getting the Corbeau CR1 or A4 (haven't decided yet). You can get both with brakets for the FD and they have full recline like the stock seats.

They also cost about half as much as Sparco seats. I got to see some in person last week at a local autocross event and I'm very happy with the quality of them.

The reason I'm after them is either of those will give you about another 2" of headroom. Headroom normally isn't a problem for me but slap a helmet on and its neck scrunching time

yeah, I had Corbeau CR1s...fit nice, sits a little higher and the sides rub up against the door a bit, but nothing major. The plastic molding on the side of the seat needs to be removed to get it to fit in right, and a grove may need to be either worn down or cut in the plastic interior molding down by the floor so that it will adjust well. It's really hard to get aftermarket seats into an FD...there really isn't a whole lot of room.

If you are planning on going with a harness, I would suggest the Rotary Extreme harness bar...I had the M2, but it didn't fit right at all. I heard the RE one is better, and you can still use the trunk cover with it. Good luck

Do these aftermarket seats give any more leg room. Meaning from the wheel to the legs, compared to the stock seats. Also I have seen the mazdaspeed seats for FD's (expensive yes) but do the leave the same leg space, head height and side clearance as stock?
