I was just wondering, how much boost can you run on a 20B TT direct from japan?

 

What kinda engine management?
How much ignition timing advance?
What kinda fuel?
What kinda spark plugs?
Which turbos? Stock?

The answer is 42psi.

 

if it came overnight, then you can run 2 bottles, the big ones.

c'mon guys . he's got eight posts. probably a young man in high school who needs this forum to learn about mechanical realities.

On pump gas you are limited by the octane more than the engine's limits so i would say 14 psi on the street. one high octane mix probably 20 psi conservitavely and 30 psi if you want to roll the dice, especially on a stock, 10+ year old engine.

Who would want to run 30 psi on the stock twins anyways??

 

About 10-12psi with emission control devices, and about 14-15psi without. All this is assuming you have the necessary well-tuned standalone EMS, ignition system, intercooler, etc.

Either somebody who states boost in terms of absolute pressure, or somebody who has absolutely no clue about the limit of the stock turbos.
