Very nice setup. I have the same clutch for my 20B. :)

What exhaust housing was used in this car.

GtoRx7 11-20-08 04:13 PM

Thanks! The clutch felt amazing to us, pedal effort a bit high, but very easy to drive. How do you like yours? The turbine is from precision, If I recall correctly it was a 1.27 a/r and had to be custom ordered.

Thanks for the info!

I have not tried the clutch in my car but have driven it in a customer 13B FD and liked it very much.

Does precision use Garrett cores or do they produce them themselfes?

They cast all of their own turbine housings.

Peter, You did an amazing job on the project! I mention your name cause Logan was watching you work all the time, I was there you know what I am talking about. LOL. As Usual, DA FTW!

congratulations on an amazing looking build. Very nice attention to detail. When I am rich, I hope that you are still around, and that there are still 20b's left.

FelixIsGod29X 01-20-09 12:41 PM

Your engine, exhaust manifold, and exhaust is niiiice!

Yeah seems normal to me to see a 42R with full spool at 4500....its a big turbo ya know haha

touturborx7 02-09-11 12:08 PM

hey gtorx7 how much was the final cost of that whole build for him?

black93RX7 02-11-11 05:24 PM

Great setup! How is the 3.5 inch exhaust for sound? Is it tolerable on the street? Looking at doing a similar exhaust, I'm currently only running a 3 inch. What dimension mufflers are those?

3.5 inch exhaust sounds great. Very tolerable. Key is to have two mufflers. The borla's were 14" underbody and 16" rear oval mufflers.

Here is the sound-

+1 for using two mufflers, one in the midpipe and a rear one. Makes the sound easy on the ears until you go WOT. Borla's or a Magnaflow will do the job.

Reviving an old thread. My son and I purchased this car a year ago. We have done a lot of work on the car (mostly on the interior including recovering the factory seats with new leather). I have to say that the build quality completed by Defined Autoworks is top notch. I don't know Logan - never even spoken with him. However, this car has held together very well over the years. My son and I are lucky enough to own some cool cars, but this is our favorite! The 20B pulls so hard, that it makes my ears feel like they are going to pop! At 70 MPH, dropping it into 3rd and punching it results in massive wheel spin :-) It is such a fun car and is so well put together.... Good work guys - this car is still being enjoyed and is still being improved.

touturborx7 06-07-16 09:00 AM

you purchased this car?

94RX74me 06-07-16 10:08 AM

Nope, we STOLE it, did a bunch of work to it, put new rims on it and have driven it for the last year!

We purchased it from Michael S. in Georgia about this time last year. It's a great car and we hope to make it better over the next few years.

Great looking fd! Care to share the specs on the engine? Curious to know what your power is now with your improvements?
