20b 86 Luce Drift weapon
Has this been done before?
Its at the body prep stage. Once thats done im dropping a complete 91 JC Cosmo running gear setup in the bitch. I dont forsee any problems apart from mounts for the 6 speed supra box thats being mated. If anyone has done a 20b conversion in a luce before giz a holla. By the way im a recent rotak convert so at least giz credit for going straight to the top. its over for 13beez... |
That worst collaboration of the english speaking language and ebonics i've ever heard. Seriously though, with the tone i'm getting from this post you're going to be nowhere near a finished 20B setup in whatever a "luce" is. Prove me wrong, i dare you.

Luce is what the U.S. calls a 929.
The Luce actually came with a 13B option, so I wouldn't think a 20B would be that hard to do? -Ted |
Ahhh yes, 87GTR posted up pictures of one, would be a fun sleeper.
|
wasnt the luce FWD? or am i on drugs? i know they made one FWD 13b thast never came to america, i thought thats what it was....
|
No, the Luce was RWD.
The 929 is RWD. -Ted |

The second generation Luce was RWD - we called it the RX-4. http://www.mazda.com/history/rotary/g2-3.html Except for this one, I *think* this still counts as 2nd-generation?: http://www.mazda.com/history/rotary/g2-8.html The third generation Luce was RWD - we didn't get it. At least, I don't *think* we got the piston-powered 929 version: http://www.mazda.com/history/rotary/g3-1.html The fourth generation Luce was RWD - we got it with grotty 3.0l V6 as the 929: http://www.mazda.com/history/rotary/g3-3.html Of course Auckland is nowhere near the US so they get to play with all sorts of neat things like Luces and other non-RX-7 rotaries... |
