WOW! My seven rips now...
Well this winter I changed my whole exhaust, removed the rats nest, replaced the ignitors (one was blown), replaced the battery cables, changed the steering wheel, got Blaster 2 coils, and the list goes on...
Anyways I had it out ripping around yesterday and all I can say is wow! The car is way more powerful (lots of little things made it have little power) But the real test was racing my friends dirt bike (xr-400) and his truck (heavy but the engine is 5 times the size) and please not this was not on public roads... Anyways I pulled the bike pretty hard, and easily kept up with the truck, its amazing what 2 rotors can do. Now I need paint badily, the car looks metal spotted.... But then after that ill throw a mikuni on it, I can hardily wait. The extra juice of the mikuni is gonna be great. Now I just need to see what my milage is going to be like. |
Awesome :D Always good to hear good news! Drive safe :)

i love my gsl but the exhaust is too restrictive so i cut the muffler off and im gunna take the cat off and put in the rb cat replacerment pipe

why a mikuni? why not go all out w/ a DCOE or IDA?
|
I was thinking a DCOE but I dunno, just from what I have heard the mikuni sounds like a bullet proof carb and I NEED to still have a choke but I know some of the weber sidedrafts still utalize it... So either a mikuni 44phh, or a weber 48dcoe (does this have a choke?)
|
I have a Mikuni, and I can safely say its one hell of an upgrade over the stock Nikki. Go for it! If you need any help tuning or whatever, let me know.
