Is that a Limited? I see the sideplates but can't read them in the glare.

I also see the power mirror controls.

Is it a Cali build? Engine bay needs a lot of work, but looks original right down to the hose clamps.

Looks like it says "Anniversary X" something. Looks like a fun bit of work ahead of you! Gotta love a nice clean SA though. Got any big plans? Restoring it to show room stock? Or sine fun go faster bits?

battery is growing mushrooms on it.........good luck.

love to see another SA on the mend . There sure has been a lot of threads about them lately

but those two spoke steering wheels sure look funny to me ......... like they should be on a bus . both my 79's had the four spoke wheels

Ah so it's an 80 X Anniversary Ed. (10th anniversary). Definitely worth restoring, if it's not too chopped up.

The 2-spoke wheels were factory on some builds. I've seem em in the parts manuals.

Yoik! "S" budget steering wheel! Intentional or came with the car? (meaning installed by prev owner) 10AEs came with the 4-spoker of course. Looks like a solid car, and a Special too boot! Congrats and good luck. Another SA joins the Fold. More pix and give us some Back Story on how you got it and what are your plans?

im just restoring it to get it back on the road, and for everyone else, everything is original, but the radio is replaced.

Also i have been working on it for about a month so it's getting there, the battery is a mouse bed (i know, mice in the engine isn't good lol).

Hmmm, should clean up nice.

Whats that chrome looking nob sticking out on the driver side fender? An alarm
switch maybe?

Also in the close up of the emblem on the same fender shows a small protuberance right
after the rx7 emblem. Looks like a rivet filling a hole maybe. Interesting.

Keep us posted on the progress.

I mis-read the plate at first - looked like the old yellow-on-blue Cali plate at first glance, but I see now it's NJ.

What's the little pimple just aft of the fender logo? An LED?

Well it is my dads and me and him have been working on it. He got it over 20 years ago and had to put it in the garage after my sister was born because it's a two seater. He go it from (This is what he told me) a friend that was like a "brother" to him and his friends son had been trying to sell it and he bought it because they were so close.

The Little Bump after the logo is an LED that lit up when the alarm was turned on, which was turned on by the little silver bumb that's next to the logo. You would have to lift a little rotating door that shows a key hole, etc. (Can only see it from a distance on the other photos.)

So Far, this is the progress pictures. The big black blob looking thing is the gas tank, the metal wheel looking thing is where the gas tank should be because i had to take it out to drain it. and the engine changes is just a new distributor cap with new wires, spray painted radiator, no more battery (I think 20 year old batteries don't hold up... that's just me :P) but here you got, this is about a month or so into the repair, the interior and looks (Paint, mold, etc.) has not been changed yet.

I like this car. I haven't seen one of the 10 AE ones yet. Very cool.
