Is the window frame bent ? How far up does it go to before it goes off the track ?

My passenger window does the same thing after I replaced the rubber..............I replaced the motor with a better one...........Goes up and down at a stop OK..but with wind resistance..........
driving..........it wont go up all the way.........tilts...

I think you need a new motor to overcome the tight fit
of the new rubber..........I adjusted the window for hours
till I finally got it to this level.........You can fine tune the tracks with the bolts in the door...I pulle the window back to force it in the porper position and then adusted the window guides.....had to tweak it ...and tweak it.....

This happened to my GSL when I replaced the outside window seals. I took the panel off and put it back on the runner but it came off again after a few days. Next time I carefully bent the front runner in a bit so that it made better contact with the window. This fixed the problem and it has worked fine for the last couple months. A word of caution, if the window is binding or off the racks it will seem as if the motor is going bad. However the motor is working fine (unitl you burn it out, of course), it just can't push against the binding window.
