Will this start a fire?
I have an 85 GS, my cat has been emptied but my heat shields that bolt to the underside of the car are all rusted. If I remove them will it create to much heat against the floor pan and carpet.

i took mine out and I am running a racing beat setup.
I have yet to experience any problems. When I mentioned it to a passenger, he said is felt allittle warm. |

And that's with header AND heat shields :) Hell, I've made Acid bombs (Muriatic Acid & Aluminum Foil inside plastic bottles) and they are hard to explode even with the chemical reaction within them. You must run the piss out of that poor 12A!;) |
