I always thought it would be nice to have a one made from carbon fiber, with the grooves in it, or to have a perfectly flat one (CF or black plastic) with smooth lexan light covers.

I have been again out of the country for several months and I'm very sorry that I couldn't get back to you guys sooner and therefore I will take this more professional than ever. I had the prototype given to wackyracer due to his great vollunteering and at the same time I have measured and corrected what needs to be fixed and now I am ready to sell. The red RX7 letters will need to be lightened from the back if you want to have a clear visual of the letters or else since it is transparent it will turn a dark redish black color due to the dark background. I am in the search of finding a lighting company to make a florecent bulb housed inside but cost might be a big consideration. LED's don't work very well because it tends to concentrate light rather than shining in a equal distribution so I am finding a different route for this and make sure the lighting is weather proof as well. :) These are the lights I am trying to sample... they are tiny flourecent tube lights that are used in the guage lighting for the lexus cars (they are real bright and great light distribution) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v5...atdk/lamp3.jpg The cost of this plate for now is ballparked at $160 plus shipping and it will fluctuate up or down depending on my plastic supply and demand. I will do my best to keep it so we are all equally getting something rather than just racking prices to get money. :) The material I am using for now is 1/4 inch thick Acrylic and I am using different kinds of finish so it will protect from UV and constantly finding different types of plastic that will cut well and weatherproof... the laser cutter is very picky with materials... some cut well and some dont. The installation will be simple the back of the plate will have a lip and on the lip will have 3M Industrial grade double back tape... and this really knows how to stick and its weather proof.... plus it will get stronger with time and heat. You just need to align and stick... just make sure you use alcohol on the car body surface so there is no oil or wax... I will see if I can purchase the adhesion promoter in single packets. One problem I do have is that the admins are keep on freakin erasing my valuable threads that feeds my creativity and needs for the members and this really pisses me off. :) I can't keep on uploading all the pics I have back to the thread and the voices of the members are gone as well... I have asked the admins to be a vendor and no one has ever got back to me for a year... I am willing to pay but where is the service... it makes me unsecure about giving out money to the forum owners. So if one of you guys are reading this PM me your phone number so I can talk to you and make sure I am paying it to the right source. Thank you admins! Now... the last question is the lighting. I DO NOT want to sell my products that look like shit in my perspective. and without the lighting I believe it will look like shit. I highly recomend the lighting cause without it the word RX-7 will not be very visible. The lighting cost might vary up to $120 (also I will do my best to lower it down later) but are you members willing to spend up to close to $300 (Rear panel + designed and manufactured lighting kit)? I ask this cause there is a minimum for specifically manufactured lighting products that are designed for my rear panel... I don't like to take and jimmy rig things that are not meant to be together. And after I spent all this effort and investment no one will buy it cause its too expensive....... (which happened many times throughout life itself :) ) hehehehehe.... All of the research info was deleted by the admins so I want to ask you guys straight up. Are you willing to buy it? PM me with a yes and let me do the research. :) However for the time being if you guys want to create your own lighting system then I will just sell the Rear FB Plate for $160 plus shipping. I am ready to work in full throttle and I am faster than ever. Manufacturing and finishing takes 3 business days so from payment till arrival will take about a good week. Damn, akiratdk, those rear plates are freakin' awesome. Too bad that after lighting and everything, they'll be close to $300. Otherwise, I'm jump on those in a f'in heartbeat!

I really would like for it to bolt up using the factory mounting points. (two thin bolts.)
Any possibility of making it work in that manner? Even if the bolt is slightly exposed, I can always paint it black. As far as the lighting - I think LED will be fine, - IF, you cut the plastic on the back of the "RX-7" logo in a rough, diamond style shape. Light through plastics tend to show expose more on the edges. More Edges, More Light. The texture I am referring to is the same as a Flourescent light diffuser. will ive been thinking of fiber optic cable that i can get from local stores some what cheap and will very effectively light up that Acrylic.
