who said you cant rev past 8...pfffft 8000 my redline is 9250,could rev further but not much point. My mates PP should pull 11000 easily with open exhaust. It's a Guru motor before you go saying "yeah right"

Is it 12A or 13B in the Rx3?

its only a 13-B streetport with IDA, SE internals and flywheel. Since I always talk smack to those with 8K limit, thats my proof @ standing still.

Hell, my stock port 76 4 port 13B with 160k revs past 8, no smoke. It wont blow up Ive got a new motor sitting here on the stand, but the 4 port runs too good.

They will all rev past the point is the power band is gone on most stock rotary’s because the port timing is tuned for the RPMS as well the crank walks causing metal to metal contacts and puts more strain on the seals against the housings busting them.

I raced my steel sealed BP 13b 4 port to 9500 rpm every weekend for 5 years, never had an engine problem. My stock port 12a buzzer is my warning I'm running too slow when it stops buzzing........lol

LOL on metal to metal. Same 13-B block that I bought and ported in 1989. Since re-built in 00 (just re-sealed), it has approximately 30,000 miles of daily abuse including track time. It just wont die.
