don't just "drive it around". The shape of the combustion chamber, plus injecting 4-stroke oil (which isn't designed to burn) facilitates carbon buildup. get some sort of tach hooked up, and drive the piss out of it with seafoam in the tank. The quart of 2-stroke that I suggested is to help lubricate everything while driving the hell out of your car.

So we are on the same page, mix the Seafoam in tank along with a quart of 2 stroke?4 stroke is in ref of motor oil?

2 stroke in the tank, 4 stroke is for the crank( he was referencing the fact that the omp injects four stroke into the housing to lube which isn't designed for burning and can build deposits, where as premix in the tank is 2 stroke and made to be burned for lubrication.) So, seafoam in the gas tank and if omp is still working, you can add 6 to 16 oz. of 2 cylcle into tank when you do seafoam for added lube if you want. Then drive her like a raped ape! Don't be timid, or your wasting your time. consistant revs up at or near redline is what you want. Clean all that crap out of the motor.

a redline a day keeps the mechanic away. ;)

That's nice you found a friend, the only '7 friend I have around here that knows anything about them is my bud's dad. He has a GTUs. I wish I knew someone with 4 parts cars around here.

Where are you located in PA. There are many Rotary owners around the state. Fellow rotards may be easier to fine, although they may hang onto there parts a little closer.

Sucks to be me!

After posting a thread, and using the "search button", it looks like my oil control rings are going bad.The old thread was pretty much hit the nail on the head.My smoking prob is after high rpm then letting off of it.Something about creating vacuum and pulling oil through. This sucks.:(:icon_tdow

Run 1 quart of Lucas Heavy Duty Oil Stabilizer in your oil changes. Kentetsu has had great results with this in his FB, and I have personally used it to greatly reduce oil consumption in a 1994 Mercury Villager w/ 175k on it.
