Venting crankcase with a mikuni setup?
I was wondering if anyone has any idea how I should vent out the moisture. As of now the tees coming off the oil filler tube is plugged off. Would I have to hook up a pcv between the air filter endplate and the tees?

You should hook up the top nipple on the oil filler neck to a PCV valve and then plumb into a source of vacuum. The lower nipple on the intermediate housing should just go to a fresh air source, like the airbox, or I think you could run a breather filter on that one. Definately run a PCV with a vacuum source though, it's needed.

I second Moses. Threaded end of the PCV goes towards the vacuum source. Do a quick search for PCV in this forum and you'll get info on how the folks with nikkis do it, that should help.

Ok, I've read through all the threads related to crankcase ventilation but I still have a question. I have the charcoal canister still in place. Would this setup be fine or would I have to split the line into the intermediate housing with a breather of some sort? I also read that it might not be a good idea having it connected directly to the intake manifold, any truth to this? Thanks. -Ken |
