TPS test

I have a 85 GSL-SE and was tuning it up and decided to check the adjustment for the TPS with 2 test lights. The problem is I only have all or none of the lights on .There is no 1 light only .Bad TPS ? It has always idled very low 400-500 rpm's
thanks DC:scratch:

I have the same exact problem when adjusting my tps. Can't seem to find an answer on this forum on this problem, did you find out what was wrong with it?

Even though you think your test lights are correct, the only real way to find out is to do the test with the voltmeters. Also, check the resistance according to the FSM. At idle, you should have about 1,000 ohms. At wide open throttle (TPS fully extended), you should have about 5,000 ohms. If my memory is right, take the plug off the TPS and have the plug facing you so that it looks like an upside down face (without the smile). Check resistance at the top prong and bottom right prong.
