Thermostat Question.

I notice that my 7 runs much cooler without the thermostat.
Is it safe to run without the thermostat? and what would be the effects if theirs any of running without it.:icon_tup:

Running cooler isn't necessarily better. Combustion efficiency takes place in a fairly narrow temperature range, outside of that range AFRs change, which affects mileage. Oddly, running a rotary w/o a thermostat tends to cause them to run warmer. Newer engines now run in a higher temperature range to increase fuel mileage.
