Temperature sensor wire broke!
Hi all,
I was removing the oil pressure sending unit and pulled the wire off the temperature sensor beside it. I removed the sensor itself and was wondering if I can just epoxy the wire back into the sensor. It's just a bare wire with a pressed fitting that I believe allowed the sensor to br screwed into the block without twisting the wire.

No guys, I pulled the wire right out of the sensor part that is screwed into the engine.
It's just a bare wire and I thought I could epoxy it back in because the pressed fitting is now broken and it wont stay in by itself. But when I head up the wire itself with a butane flame nothing happens to the temperature guage so I'm thinking that there may be more involved in the sensor. Should I fill it with solder and attach the wire that way?

I wasn't aware that my reply post was unclear - it is the temperature sensor that I am concerned about. I was merely hoping something like this has happened to someone else and they could save me from buying a new sensor from Mazdatrix if just epoxying the wire back into the sensor body would do.

Somtimes the guys rotors are out of balance, lol. I would not waste your time repairing it, you can get one from Victoria british for $9.95 plus shipping. part# 71-625. rx7doctor

My apologies. I read temp sensor in one post and oil pressure sensor in another. I re-read it and yes I need remedial reading classes.
I aslo apologize for offending you. It was unintentional I assure you. I just got mixed up and wanted clarification so I could be of more assistance. Sorry man.
