Suspension Techniques springs Y/N????
 

I am on a tight budget and I am wondering if any of you have experiance with the suspension techniques lowering springs. Are they good, bad, worth the money, or the biggest waste and I should just save for something better. Any info is helpful, thanks in advance.

okay, i have them, i noticed a difference in the ride, i can feel the bumps more, which is fine i don't really mind...one downside that i noticed is that my car wasn't lowered as much as i had expected. i like them, but i have seen 1st gens lower than mine and i kinda wonder if it was a waste or not....hmmm......

personally, ST's suck.. i've had couple of friends use them and it basically just lowered the car. that's all. didn't feel any stiffness

you shuold get TMC springs... stiff springs.. they sell it here in LA/SoCal area, but i don't know about over there

DriftFB I'll have to agree with d0 Luck; don't waste your money on the ST's. I had a set on for a few years and never liked them. Originally had a set of KYB hi-po gas shocks on (later changed to Tokico adjustables) and the ride with either shock was horrible. The car constantly jiggled over unseen bumps and crashed the bump stops over even small bumps. I finally cut down a set of stock rear springs to keep the rears from crashing so bad. Somebody cut me a deal on RacingBeat springs and WOW! -what a difference!! Not only did they RIDE better but the handled better both on the street AND autocrossing.

Somebody told me the progressive ST springs work well only with progressive-type shocks (Bilsteins I imagine) and not with straight rate "normal" shocks. I believe him now!! Save your money for the RB...you won't regret it.

I have a set of ST springs 50 bucks + shipping 1Yr. old replaced with racing beat springs if that tells you something. Fronts Olny

Hmm, I have ST's and like 'em allot. They didn't lower my car much, actually raised the front a little due to the orginal springs sagging with the V8. The ride is IMO much better controlled than stock. But hearing (seeing rather) these opinions maybe I need to try a set of RB's or a set of the TMC.

BTW I have tokico blues all around.

Yes, but I've forgotten where. A search in Google or one of the IT-7 racers should know since that is what they were being promoted for when I saw them.

I have the ST springs and I like them just fine. They don't lower the car much compared to sagging stock springs, but they have a very nice feeling with Tokico "blue" non-adjustable shocks. I wouldn't race with them, but stiff shocks and softer springs is a nice combination for the street, IMHO.

i searched google but couldn't find anything....any IT7 racers got any info for me? and what about the Anti Roll bars Suspension Techniques makes are they any good? and i've noticed that racing beats rear sway bar is adjustable....what does that adjustability do?

TMC part #CSM-400 is the spring set. Must Spec7 sites list this in the rules.
